Thermographic Inspection is simply a picture of HEAT. Infrared thermography (IR/T) is used as a condition monitoring technique to remotely gather thermal information for monitoring the condition of virtually all electrical/mechanical components on an entire system. All equipment when operating under regular conditions have normal thermal signature which is typical of the specific component.
Preventive Maintenance and Standard Testing of Transformers
Transformer standard testing includes: Insulation Resistance Test, Turns Ratio Test, Winding Resistance Test, Dissolved Gas Analysis, Polarization Index Test, & Oil Dielectric Breakdown Test. These tests ensure the reliability, efficiency, and longevity of transformers by detecting potential faults early. Regular testing helps prevent unexpected failures, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
Preventive Maintenance and Standard Testing of First Private Pole
The maintenance includes Alignment of mechanism to easily open and close the Load Break Switch (LBS); Cleaning of porcelain insulators to remove dirt and avoid current leakage to ground; Cleaning of LBS contacts to improve contact resistance; Testing of Insulation Resistance of XLPE cables and LBS; and Testing of LBS contact resistance.
